MONTBLANC Hommage à Genghis Khan Artisan Limited Edition 35 Fountain Pen. The pen comes in still Sealed condition. Genghis Khan, the legendary Mongolian warlord, unified the rival nomadic tribes of central Asia and established the largest contiguous empire in history. This pen pays tribute to the warlord with numerous details. The cap and body are skeletonised in a lamellardesign made from PVD-coated 925 sterling silver.

The clip suggests the recurve bows used by Khan's warriors; the cap is inspired by their helmets; the PVD coated scales suggest the Mongolian armor; the Pt950 Solid Platinum fittings recall their ornate weapons; the ebony cone is a subtle reference to the wooden arrowheads which likewise soared through the air overconquerred lands. The red cabochon (0.015ct ruby) set on the clip is reminiscent to the blood clot the young GK had in the palm of his hand. The large MB emblem is in mother-of-pearl. The Medium (M) 18K gold nib is engraved with the steppe eagle, symbol of the great warrior meaning that his soul would take the eagles appearance.

Completing the decorations, a solitary diamond setin the cone adds a touch of brilliance. GK provided a way for Mongolian cultural identity to be preserved for posterity. A version of this language, modern Mongolian, is still used today. Its alphabet consists of 35 characters the number of pieces in the Montblanc Atelier Privé Genghis Khan Limited Edition 35.
