PELIKAN: M800 Spirit of Gaudi Limited 1000 Edition Fountain Pen. 18K 750 Medium (M) nib. 2002 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gaudi. An exceptional edition conceived and designed in Barcelona, this is Pelikans homage to Spains master architect, Antonio Gaudi , and his unmistakable, one-of-a-kind Art Nouveau sensibility. The entrance to La Pedrera served as inspiration for the playful decoration on this fountain pen.

One of the most famous Modernist architects in the world. The building, located in the elegant Passeig de Gràcia, was constructed between 1906 and 1912 for the Milà family, a couple possessing a great fortune made from their business activities. That is why La Pedrera is also known as the Casa Milà.

It was the last civil commission undertaken by the artist. Pelikan has created a fountain pen in the architectural style of this famous Barcelona building as homage to its style and to its author, Gaudi.

It has been developed and designed in Barcelona for later production in Germany. The worldwide edition is limited to just 1.000 pieces. Sterling silver overlay, resembles Gaudi's sculptural doorways of La Pedrera.

Medium (M) 18K rhodium-plated gold nib. Cardboard box, Outer box, 2-piece display stand (two pieces of solid silver-plated zamac metal alloy- are combined perfectly to produce a fantastic sculpture), papers (booklet, limited edition certificate, personal service card). Due to a misallocation from a Spanish authorised Pelikan dealer of that time, the sculpture display box shows a mismatching limitation number: 503/1000. The pen, all the papers and all the boxes are engraved: 404/1000. The pen is new and never been used.

The fountain pen has never been dipped nor inked. Comes with original boxes, packaging and papers. Spirit of Gaudi is actually one of Pelikans most eagerly-sought limited edition. This specimen not only comes in near mint. We use only high quality materials such as double wall cardboard boxes, extra large buble wrap, polypropylene packaging tape, pvc pipe with high resistance.
