Vintage Wahl Eversharp Lakeside Fountain Pen Pencil Set Gold Filled Black Enamel

  

Here is truly a rare find... A Wahl Eversharp all metal gold-filled Lakeside pattern with black enamel fill fountain pen and pencil set.

The original price tag/sticker/band is still present on the cap of the fountain pen. Some of the font shows wear, but still presents extremely well. These pens are often found with the enamel completely missing, finding intact enamel such as this is no easy task. I would grade both pen and pencil in near mint condition.

The pen may have been filled once or possibly only dipped. I removed the section and the old ink sac, finding very faint signs of previous ink. Fountain pen measures approximately 4-7/8 capped and 5-1/4 posted. Mechanical pencil measures approximately 5-1/4. Wahl Eversharp all metal gold-filled Lakeside pattern with black enamel filled into the recessed block and line design. Original enamel fill is in exceptional condition for how fragile this finish is. I would say at least 95% of the original black enamel fill is intact. There are no dents or dings on either fountain pen or mechanical pencil. Nothing has been cleaned or polished. The original patina is still present throughout the gold-fill. Wahl Eversharp 14k Gold Seal Flexible nib. No size marked, but looks to be a medium. Perfect iridium tipping and straight tines on this flexible nib. The original ink sac, which has dried up and crumbled long ago, has been removed from the pen. I have not installed a new ink sac, but can do so at buyers request.
