This is a beautiful large Parker Vacumatic pen. Nib is Marked'PARKER DUOFOLD MADE IN USA'.

Vacumatic was formally launched in 1933 with this particular pen missing the filler plunge. This beautiful pen has a celluloid shell and is made of alternating clear and burgundy / red opalescent stripes, allowing the ink level in the barrel to be visible.

The barrel is imprinted GEO. PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN USA 16. The two numbers after'USA appear to be'16' which some references describe this to mean the first quarter in 1936.
