MONTBLANC MEISTERSTÜCK 142G FOUNTAIN PEN. MADE IN GERMANY 1946 - 1955. For your consideration I have this gorgeous and extremely rare first version of the Montblanc Meisterstück 142G Fountain Pen. Made of celluloid with a striped pyellow ink window and a flat ski-slope feed.
Produced from 1946 to 1955. (The 142 was introduced in 1946 and untill 1955 was fitted with a flat'ski slope' feed). Features a telescopic piston mechanism and.Is fitted with a 14K-585 two-tone semi. Nib in a Broad point (writes from B to BB). (the nib gauge is not marked, but comparing it to other 142s I consider in to be a broad point). The filling knob is marked'142G.
The cap ring is marked'MONTBLANC - MEISTERSTÜCK. The cork piston seal needs to be replaced. The piston runs smoothly but draws no ink. The pen is very well preserved and c.
Osmetically is in excellent condition considering its age. Some light spots of wear of the gold fill. The cap shows a shallow'groove' from rotating the clip. Otherwise just some light scratches on the cap and barrel.
