Michel Audiard Origami Sterling Silver Limited Edition fountain pen

  

My loss = your gain! This exquisite fountain pen from French sculptor, Michel Audiard is rare and a limited edition. Only 500 of these were made. The artist named this ornate, silver over bronze pen the Origami. Pen is pre-owned by an avid stylophile but does not appear to have been used.

Etched on the pen is 254/500. Nib is signed by Audiard. A world-renowned artist based in Tours, Michel Audiard was born in paris in 1951. Fresh out of "les beaux-arts" (school of fine arts), he starts painting portraits in Montparnasse, and sculpts various materials.

In 1978, Michel Audiard stops painting to devote himself to sculpting. The lost-wax casting technique is to him the nicest approach to making a sculpture, as every sculptor's dream is to finalize his work in bronze.

He goes on sculpting, designing furniture as well as jewelry, and in 1995, he releases his first hand crafted fountain pen "stylo sculpture".
