The Montblanc 2020 WE is inspired in many details by Victor Hugos novel and by Notre-Dame. The cap is decorated with gothic arches in relief, and the end of the clip, which is shaped like the clapper of a bell, recalls the bell ringer Quasimodo and the bells of Notre-Dame. Victor Hugos signature is engraved on the cap.

The cone is decorated with an engraved trefoil frieze which is also part of Notre Dame architecture. The shape of the cone recalls the posts to which Quasimodo was chained. Is immortalised on the cap.

Jean Valjeans face, created as a 3D relief, looks through the open structure of the clip, whic is inspired by the rose windows of Notre-Dame Cathedral. The nib, handcrafted in Au 750 gold, has a fine engraving of a gargoyle , one of Cathedrals grotesque waterspounts. The concerned pen comes in virtually new condition (unused, not inked) with all original boxes, papers and packaging.
