The instrument features a platinum-coated metal. Cap and black, precious-resin barrel. Section and fittings are platinum-coated.

The medium nib is 14K rhodium-coated gold. Floating within a transparent finial is the iconic Montblanc snowcap in blue and white resin, taking inspiration from the Earth as viewed from the lunar horizon. Design inspired by the celestial view of Earth.
