This pen is in excellent condition in terms of both appearance and function. I don't detect any scratches on the cap and body. All metal pieces are free of pitting, brassing or staining. The box, all printed materials and the included ink cartridges are in like new condition making the pen suitable for gifting.

Although, the printed material is in Japanese! The included converter can be used to fill the pen from a bottle instead of cartridges. The nib, like many Japanese nibs, is finer than European and American nibs. The line of this fine nib approaches that of an extra fine. Still, good ink flow makes for a smooth writing experience.

The pen is on the small size with a thickness measuring 12 to 15mm and a posted length of 142mm. Our home is, and always has been, smoke free.
