Vintage Conway Stewart No. 58 Fountain Pen Black 14k Gold Broad DURO Nib Nr Mint
58 Lever Filled Fountain Pen. India Black with Gold Trim.
Made in England circa 1940s. 14k Gold Conway Stewart DURO Nib BROAD.
Lever Filled Fountain Pen: serviced and ready to write. A fully restored CS No. The pen sports a lovely DURO nib which is on the medium side of broad, with generous tipping making this a very smooth and enjoyable writer. The fountain pen is in overall excellent, near mint condition. The pen has been taken apart, the nib feed section cleaned and polished, the lever bar inspected and a new inc sac fitted.
The cap barrel and section have been reconditioned and now shine beautifully, as do the gold fittings. There are no major imperfections to note, no chips cracks or engravings. There are some tiny imperfections, very minor brassing on the gold trim and one or two marks, but the pen is in near mint condition. The 14k Gold Nib has been tuned and writes beautifully.It is on the medium side of a broad, and is a smooth and elegant writer, nicely responsive, good ink flow not too wet, not too dry.
