Vintage PARKER DUOFOLD Celluloid Fountain Pen&Pencil- Nib FLEX M to BB -RESTORED

  

1930 PARKER DUOFOLD SPECIAL Fountain Pen with Matching Mechanical Pencil. Fully functional, both fountain pen and pencil. Original or new eraser options. Button-filler fountain pen & twist mechanical pencil.

Flexy gold nib from Medium to Double Broad. Very good condition -- hard to believe that are 90 years old.

Celluloid color called "burgundy and black" - introduced in 1930. Fountain pen made in Canada. Pen is streamlined design with two thin cap bands, circa 1930. Size is Special (diameter of Junior, but longer). Gold-filled trim (thicker than gold-plating).

Ebonite end cap and cap top. Barrel engraved with "PARKER" and GEO.

PARKER" and "MADE IN CANADA" and "DUOFOLD. Cap is threaded onto the barrel.

Both barrel and cap threads are in excellent condition. Pen in balanced when writing with the cap posted or not -- posting is necessary for man's/large hands. Black ebonite blind cap -- unscrews to access button for filling pen with ink. Barrel has one noticeable but very thin scratch to right of top of clip, otherwise only light micro-scratches. Point is Medium with some flex.

Writes Medium (0.6 mm) through Double Broad (1.2 mm wide), see writing sample in photo. Writing sample was done by dipping nib in ink and then flushed. Confirmed nib is smooth and the sac and lever can efficiently fill with water and flush out nib. Note, some of the green Waterman ink may still remain on nib or feed.

Capped length = 4-3/4 inches (116 mm). Length with cap posted on end of barrel = 5-3/4 inches (147 mm). Maximum barrel diameter = 1/2 inch (13 mm). Weight, empty = 0.6 ounce (28 g). Pencil is twist design -- expels and retracts lead (rotate top of pen, not cone).

Lead is 0.046 inches in diameter. Pencil is loaded with a piece of lead. Extra lead is also included in pencil.

Cap top is ebonite and has original sticker on it with model and price. Trim is gold-filled and matches the pen.

Cap clip engraved with "PARKER" and has two thin cap bands, all of which match the fountain pen. PARKER" and "MADE IN USA" and "DUOFOLD. No noticeable scratches, just light micro-scratches. Length = 4-3/4 inches (125 mm).

Maximum barrel diameter = 3/8 inch (9.5 mm). Weight, empty = 0.9 ounce (42 g). The difference in cost will be transferred to you. Not all countries are served.
