Visconti Homo Sapiens Lava Black bronze Fountain Pen with 23k palladium solid yellow gold nib EF or F nib I have 2 pens each I also have 2 medium nibs which came in with the 23k palladium two tone nib... 1 stub nib only You choose the nib for your pen.
My guess is that all the new pens will have the one tone nib once Visconti runs out of the 2 tone nib. I just received this pen from Italy and it has now a s solid yellow gold 23k nib on, I guess visconti has now changed in all the new stock to one time yellow gold nibs. The body is forged from a proprietary formula of 50 percent basaltic volcanic lava obtained from the largest active volcano in Europe, Mt. Etna in Sicily and catalyzed with resin.
The material is virtually shatter-proof and able to withstand heat up to 300 degrees F. The lava material is also slightly hygroscopic, which means it can absorb sweat while the pen is in use. The trims are forged from solid bronze. The fountain pens filling system is a double reservoir power filler that allows filling with a single hand, and it writes with a 23k solid palladium nib. Because the nib is virtually pure, it is significantly less susceptible to corrosion from ink. And because palladium is 200-300% more flexible it a dream to write with.
